The Heart and the Fight is the debut folk album of Brisbane singer/songwriter Franz James. Franz is a devout Christian, activist, support worker and community member of Dorothy Day House, an open-door House of Hospitality for people experiencing homelessness and refugees. Growing up on Jinibara Country, he was raised nurturing values of living simply and cherishing the earth. Franz's love for music emerged at a very young age, and continues to be central to his faith formation. Inspired by early folk with classical guitar influence, his music seeks to express his values through a blend of poetry and song. Album proceeds go towards funding the Dorothy Day House of Hospitality in Brisbane.
